The Path Ahead
Please see below details on how we plan to continue to support you all with your health and fitness while the gym is closed.
Starting Monday morning, we will be delivering the following:
Daily Home Workout
We will post a daily home workout, including warm up, workout with full description and cool down.
These workouts will be posted on the website, Youtube, Wodify (The Bridge only) and both of the Facebook Tribes.
The workouts will be inclusive so we encourage you to get your whole family involved, but go easy on them, we all remember how our legs felt after our first session!
The WOD will also be emailed to your inbox when they are posted on the website. If you are not already on our mailing list, head to the CrossFit Bath website and sign up to the newsletter. You can also subscribe directly on the blog page, this is on the left hand side on desktop or scroll to the bottom of the page on mobile/tablet and sign up to (See links below).

Twice Daily Workouts via Zoom
Starting Monday 22nd March at 10am and 5:30pm we will be hosting a live online WOD via Zoom.
We will host these sessions, Monday – Saturday and Sunday will be a mobility and flow session at 10am.
One or more coaches will take you through the warm up and workout. If you are not familiar with Zoom this is essentially a conference calling tool, and allows us up to 100 participants on one call at any one time. This will be a great opportunity to see everyone who’s on the call’s pretty face and give you an opportunity to interact at the start of every session.
Zoom is free for everyone and you just need to download the app on your mobile/tablet or desktop. – https://zoom.us
The sessions will be 40 minutes long initially. If we feel we need to extend this, we will look into how we do so. Please bare with us to start off with, as it will be trial and error whilst we all find our feet. We envisage the format of these sessions to evolve over time and we learn what format works best.
In addition to the daily workouts online, we will continue to add a library of resources to the Facebook groups. These will include, meal plans, cook along features, a running programme, educational webinars… just to name a few.
Equipment Loaning
Whilst the gym is closed, there will be an opportunity to loan one of the following pieces of kit. It will be one piece of kit per person and we will operate this on a first come first served basis.
Kettlebell
Dumbell
Plate
These will be available for collection at the gym between 1700-1900hrs on Tuesday 23rd March.
Ed/Shacks will coordinate the collection of the kit at the gym on Tuesday, and we ask you that you all respect their instructions to ensure everyone’s safety etc.
We will be asking for a £40 CASH deposit to be paid when you collect the equipment, which you will of course get back once you return your piece of kit.
All NHS and other essential key workers will get first priority. If you are a key worker and are unable to make the collection slots, please let us know what kit you would like to borrow and we will keep it back for you.
The equipment hire will only be available to those who have an active membership.
Membership Fees
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and we all have our individual challenges unique to us. We understand that some of you will have no choice but to cancel your membership with us and you should NOT feel bad about doing so. You have to put yourself and your family first.
We will not, however, be actively cancelling anyones membership unless you instruct us to do so. The gym’s only main revenue source is your monthly subscription and our biggest concern is our staff, all of which are self-employed contractors. We have vowed to pay them for as long as we have money in the bank but in order to do this we need your help by keeping your memberships active.
Our two main pillars are coaching and community and although we do not have a physical location, we believe we can still continue to deliver this value with everything we have laid out above. If you are forced to cancel your membership, we will not be turning our backs on you and you are still welcome to use the resources within the Facebook groups etc.
Once the dust has settled and things go back to normality, we will do everything we can to explore how we compensate you all for your support, but we will not be able to accurately quantify what that will be until we know the totality of our closure.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, once again, for everyone’s support, we appreciate each and every one of you so much and we’re actually really excited to get stuck into this new format and look forward to continuing to help you with your health and fitness.
